I told her she should tell her mother a while back.. and she said she mentioned it and both of her parents thought she was over reacting.
She was going to go to the doctors about it but she heard that they take your blood because the symptoms of depression are the same as some diease.
Is this true? and if it is how could I get her to go still?

Bipolar is characterised by extreme mood swings (eg. manic (really high) -> depressed (really low)) which doesn't seem to be the case here. She could have depression, thyroid problems (as already said) or it could be a result of something else. Either way, she is reaching out to you all and trusts you. If you offer to go with her to the doctors then she will probably be more willing than if she were to go alone.

If it is not a physical illness, (diabetes, hyperthyroidism) then she is definetly depressed. Whether she is unipolar (regularly) clinical depressed, or having a bipolar episode, is something a doctor should figure out. Assuming there is no other physical illness, if she wakes up tomorrow morning, and is 100% truly and honestly fine, and then in a few days she begins to get super giddy, starts talking fast all the time, she can't concentrate and she's super hyper, like she's on coc or ecstacy- then she's bipolar.

For now, though, we have to deal with her depression. We have to assume this is unipolar, and won't go anyway any time soon, especially because even if she is bipolar, episodes can last several months at a time.

She made a suicide threat. That is a HUGE deal. In Health class we took notes on the most serious warning signs, here they are:

I- Ideation, such as suicide threats- CHECK
S- Substance abuse (drugs, alcohoal?)

P- Purposelessness Saying "Why was I even born?"
A- Anxiety- Does she seem antsy? Is she stressed?
T- Trapped. Does she ever talk about feeling trapped?
H- Hopelessness. Saying things like "oh, what does it matter?"

W- Withdrawl. Quitting teams, ignoring friendships/parties/etc
A- Anger. Does she ever seem pissed off?
R- Reckless behavior
M- Mood change

So, how many of these have you recognized? Remember, if she's bipolar, she may not have even been depressed long enough to have these. I can go from being fine to dangerously suicidal in a single day.
Try talking to her, seriously, before doing anything. Tell her that if she's hit rockbottom, there's nowhere to go but up. Tell her that if she feels everything is so hopeless that she feels suicide is her only option, then why not give getting help a chance?
If she refuses to ask for help- you are going to HAVE to do it for her. You have resources- School counselors, suicide crisis lines, etc.
She will be pissed. She will be SO PISSED, but, it is WAYYY better to have a pissed friend...then a....
I won't even finish that sentence.
I hope this helps
