We take the SAT middle of junior year. You take the PSAT in sophomore year. I’d recommend doing light studying rn, then during the summer and beginning of your junior year you do a lot more studying for the SAT

Are they hard tests?
Isn’t that the test that all your college shits based on?

Basically. Most colleges base their admissions heavily on SAT or ACT scores. Recently though a lot of colleges have started to drop the SAT and ACT scores from admission requirements, but still the vast majority still heavily depend on them.

I think what people have already said is good. Good ahead and start studying a little bit. Perhaps plan a PSAT this next semester, good practice and you will get a feel for the test. And then in your junior year, take the SAT.

Depends on your aptitude for it, really. I took the ACT in June of my junior year of high school, started studying for that in March/April once a week with a tutor. I was really well suited for it for whatever reason, so that was fine for me. Some people started studying their sophomore years, early junior year, or around the time I did. Keep in mind you can also take the test multiple times and get the benefit of super scoring, so there's not a ton of pressure to do well the first time you take it. (But don't slack off because of that.)

I know most of my friends took it at the end of 11th grade and the start of 12th but I waited until October to finally take mine of my senior year this year. I'm good at standardized tests so I didn't study and got a pretty good grade

17 and Bi. Hopefully i answered your question! I love helping everyone with their questions and problems so feel free to message me if you need to talk!
