You don't have friends you enjoy spending time with or you don't have any friends at all?

Yasmine, it's hard to diagnose online, but I'd venture a pretty safe guess that you do not have Asperger's.

What you might have is a therapist who doesn't have a lot of experience with TG, and is trying to find an 'explanation'. Don't confuse the voyage for the final destination, and don't get too caught up in diagnosis. You are who you are, the task is to figure out why, but more importantly, adjust to it so you feel more comfortable in your own skin, with who you are.

i just really want a therapist that specializes in gender. the therapist i have isn't taking this seriously enough. i would like to stop going to her, but my mom didn't even look into the gender therapist. i think i learned the sad truth, that these therapists aren't helpful enough to me, because they don't understand it.

I know exactly how you feel. I always keep getting German psychiatrists. I have nothing against them but I feel that they don't really talk or help you. They just ask you questions and try to pressure you like your a brochure or something.

If you want to change psychiatrists then you need to convince your mom that you are not happy with this one. If she doesn't agree to this then you need to explain to her that your current one really isn't helping and that you feel that you aren't getting the proper help from this person.
