Default Why can't we use external images in our signatures?

I was trying to use an image that's hosted on my website in my signauture, but the [img] BBCode isn't allowed. How come? This is kinda annoying since I'm not able to upload the image I want to use to this site because it is generated (on my server) every time someone looks at it as it is dynamic.

Click here for BBcode help.

I'm not sure why it's like that. If you look down the list of codes though, it says something about mixing the IMG and the URL codes.

Images
The [img] tag allows you to embed images within your posts. You can also combine this tag with the [url] tag to make images become links.
Usage [img]value[/img]
Example Usage (Not linked)

(Linked)
It may be something that is just with signatures. That would be a vBulletin thing, I'm guessing.

I read that and I know BBCode really well.
The current code for my signature is:
Code:
[CENTER][SIZE="3"][COLOR="Cyan"]18 / M / Gay / USA => The Netherlands
Feel free to PM me, I wont bite too badly[/COLOR][/SIZE]
[url=http://debate.me.uk][IMG]http://debate.me.uk/misc.php?page=signature[/IMG][/url][/CENTER]
Yet it becomes a link when rendered.

This is a permissions issue in the vBulletin configuration since permissions for [img] tags are disabled in signatures.
The permissions can be found at the bottom of the edit signature page:

The [IMG] tag is disabled on signatures, you gotta upload a signature here on VT and use the [SIGPIC] tag instead. I don't think there is any workaround.

Your image seems to work on normal posts though.

It's disabled because IMG is an HTML tag (in this case), which we do not allow in signatures. There's the BBCode IMG tag, however, and honestly I'm not sure why that's not allowed, I'll look into it.

I think the reason I didn't allow it is because we couldn't control the size of the image when someone used BB code.
