Default Autosave

Is there some way to add an autosave feature to posts? There's nothing so frustrating as spending a half an hour on a complicated RotW post/linkfest and then loosing it.

I'm pretty sure that if you click on the 'Go Advance' page and type your post out on that then it's safer than just writing it in the quick reply box. I've found that if something messes up and I have to click the 'go back a page' button then my post is still there. Doesn't work if you refresh or anything though so autosave would be helpful if it could be implemented?

I post on my phone, so if I hit the 'back' button I'm screwed.

I'm not sure if such a thing exists for vb3, but I'm far from being any type of expert on it (such a feature would certainly be nice). I do know the frustration, though. I suggest copying your post before actually hitting the "reply" button or writing it in another app first (I like using Notes for this purpose) and then copying and pasting that. Bit of a hassle, but saves you the frustration.

There is a third-party browser extension for Chrome and Firefox called Lazarus: Form Recovery. I won't link to it but it's very easy to find with a Google search. It autosaves periodically and if you accidentally exit out and go back to the page, it will find all previous saves made to that text box. It's actually quite useful and not complicated at all. And it will not in any way interfere with the forums themselves.

Just thought I'd mention that as an alternative.
If you're on a phone, you might be able to search for something similar. Otherwise, I'd suggest writing things out in a separate text app first.

Is there no vBulletin feature to perhaps draft posts so you can save them as a draft every so often?
