Default Can abuse lead to attraction to anger?

Like, if a person was emotionall and/or physically abused as a child, could it lead to them learning to like it, maybe as a coping mechanism of some sort? I've had some abuse happen since I was around 8 (I'm 14 now). Now I seem to like anger. Under certain circumstances I still don't, like if it's directed at me by something unintentional. But sometimes I still do even then, and I'll try to get friends angry at me and stuff like that. I enjoy watching people in movies/shows get angry, I sometimes try to get friends/siblings mad at me, stuff like that.

Yes, it can. I was heavily bullied in high school and had a horrible home life, I'm not going to go on about it because I don't like talking about it, BUT, these days I'm both a Sadist and a Masochist, I love inflicting and feeling pain, as far asI can tell, it's from the bad years I went though,

So short answer, yes, you can learn to love it, I did, and now I'm addicted to the pain.

My names Joe, but you can call me "Lord and master of all space and time"
I'm Bisexual, deal with it

I was subject to a substantial amount of verbal abuse by teachers and children while I grew up, and I think that I am now more unaffected by abuse thrown at me. However, I do not and hopefully never will like inflicting pain towards others, nor myself. I don't like getting angry at people either, and I don't like people getting angry at me. But I do think that it's possible for others to like anger though.

i will love you till the end of time

it can. I think there is a psychological term for it, but I am not exactly sure what it is. but for sure. sometimes, people begin to think the abuse is what normal is and therefore they have learned to accept it as a part of their life

Well, I guess it is possible. I can't say that I feel like that myself but I'm sure that there are a lot of people who do.

Yes, abuse lead to attraction to anger due to unexpected things happen at around you. you must concentrate on your study and some physical behavior.

Okay so i thought baout this. I think its about the effects of anger more then anything. when were angry, people tend to listen more. Like if my mom and i are mad at each other, it always ends up with us both yelling at each other and we get louder and louder and more angry because we want to have our feelings heard. So that means lack of control makes us angry. so maybe its not that abuse makes us angry, but makes us more controlling. And when we arent in control, we get angry?? Just a thought.

And...sorry that you were abused and hope things are getting better. Abuse of kids makes ME angry! thats for sure.

Yes, it very well can. There have been links to multiple disorders and mental syndromes linked to things such as this. There have been studies that some, not all people who like BDSM, may have been abused. Abuse can also lead to PTSD, which has a number of side effects. If you find this to be bothering you, you might be able to see a specialist who can help you.
