so yeah.
i think i may have mild OCD. i am always redoing simple things until they are just right. for example: when i wash my hands, i always redo it until i think they are just right. when i do things like adjusting the volume of something, i always turn the knob down one then up one until the "click" feels right. i am always cleaning the floor until its just right. when i adjust my keyboard backlight, i keeping pressing the up or down buttons (even tho the keys are maxed out or off) until i get the click that "feels right". its the same with a lot of simple things, i must keep doing until its "right" its kinda pissing me off but i just can't help it. i get super frustrated and/or angry when its not right. i also get frustrated and/or angry at the fact that i keep doing this all the time. forcing myself to stop usually doesn't work either. anybody else like this or any thoughts on how i can help/stop it? thanks WAGWAN PIFFTING

I do these kind of things, I just think its because I'm a perfectionist though. Sorry that I don't have any advice...

I had the EXACT same thing, well, not "had" , I "have".
It gives me problems to some extent, like my hands tearing open due to compulsize washing, etc. I've learned that my compulsions are directly related to how anxious and stressed I am. I used to think I had mild OCD but I've come to terms with it as just being a result of anxiety. I can't speak for your case, because obviously I'm no expert. It could be anything, it could literaly be a phase, or a result of stress, it could even be an atypical reaction to a bacterial infection, anything's posisble. What's more important is how it effects you and how you choose to deal with it. shout at the world because the world doesn't love you lower yourself because you know that you have to. |

Well you must visit physiatrist and get medicine on getting angry or frustrated. Also there are some physiotherapy which will give you mental stability and sort of satisfaction for any job you do. Also you must concentrate on proper nutritional diet to give you body's required nutrients.

I don't think much advice can be given. If you do have OCD, which yes, you may have a mild case, you should just let it be. The thing is you have a routine which if altered may result in even more anxiety and stress. Therefore, seek the help of a trained professional such as your doctor, or possibly psychologist.
