Gender: Cisgender Female
Default New gender identities!

I'm excited to announce that we have updated the list of gender identities to choose from when selecting your gender here on VT. Big thanks to StoppingTime for creating these new symbols for us. The list of all the options will be as followed:
  1. Agender
Someone who is genderless; having no gender.
  2. Bigender
Identifying as both genders in some capacity, i.e., switching between the two, being some combination of both at the same time, etc.
  3. Cisgender male
A biological male (i.e., XY chromosomes, has a penis, etc., your standard male) whose gender identity and expression matches their sex. In layman's terms, this is your commonplace boy/male/man, it's just a little more specific (and the "cisgender" acknowledges the existence of other genders, so this may be seen as a little more respectful to anyone who is non-binary).
  4. Cisgender female
A biological female (i.e., XX chromosomes, has a vagina, etc., your standard female) whose gender identity and expression matches their sex. In layman's terms, this is your commonplace girl/female/woman, it's just a little more specific (and the "cisgender" acknowledges the existence of other genders, so this may be seen as a little more respectful to anyone who is non-binary).
  5. Gender queer
A catchall term for someone who doesn't fit the traditional definitions/depictions of gender; someone who doesn't fit the gender binary; non-binary
  6. Gender questioning
Someone who is in the process of exploring and questioning their gender identity
  7. Neutral
Someone who avoids traditional standards/definitions of gender and does not label themselves one way or another
  8. Other
Someone who identifies as a gender not listed here.
  9. Pangender
Someone who identifies as all genders; non-binary; not defined as male or female
  10. Transgender MtF
MtF: male to female; a biological male whose gender identity is female. They may still be keeping this a secret, transitioning to living their lives as female, or they may already be comfortably living as a female. Transgender generally means that they've had no surgery (yet, at least) to change their biological sex
  11. Transgender FtM
FtM: female to male; a biological female whose gender identity is male. They may still be keeping this a secret, transitioning to living their lives as male, or they may already be comfortably living as a male. Transgender generally means that they've had no surgery (yet, at least) to change their biological sex
  12. Transsexual Female
See transgender MtF; this is someone who's gotten surgery to change their biological sex
  13. Transsexual Male
See transgender FtM; this is someone who's gotten surgery to change their biological sex

Any questions, comments, issues, concerns or anything you need to get out can be added to this thread. Also, on the first post in that thread, you'll find a handy list of all the options defined for you.
