about losing weight, i'm doing the same thing but i'm seeing a dieticaian (aka nutritionist). she tells me that losing weight is only 20% exercise. 80% of dieting is eating right. my point is that exercising alone wont make you lose weight. it's mostly eating habits. what i'm doing to lose weight is workout everyday but also eat like a very small healthy breakfast and small lunch and then have a normal dinner. its working for me. also you shouldnt be emarassed to walk. you could even jog. and if anyone asks, tell them your practicing cross country. technically that is a sport.
another thing you could do is buy a treadmill if you dont feel like walking outside. they are pretty inexpensive. a used one you could get for like 40 bucks.
