The morning after pill is also referred to as emergency contraception. It's to be taken like within 72 hours of having sex and it's basically a high dose birth control pill that's supposed to prevent pregnancy (if taken within that 72 hour period) and obviously it's not 100% some of the side effect of that are nausea, vomiting, infertility, breast tenderness, ectopic pregnancy (can be life threatening), and blood clot formation.

I'm assuming you know what the pill is but some side effects (not common in most women) are bleeding between periods, weight gain, nausea, breast tenderness, headaches, mood changes (mood swings), and blood clots (which I've read usually occur only in women over 30-35 who smoke)

I hope that helps
