My father uses hydrocodone in large doses because for some reason (
) he's always in pain. We've had tests done on him and everything shows that he's perfectly fine (except high blood pressure). Though after what the medication has done to him, he has an extreme tolerance for these kinds of medications (pain relievers). Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, but he's really a bad role model.
Anyway, I've taken hydrocodone because of surgical procedures. Usually after something as "violent" as surgery, strong pain medication like pure hydrocodone (or oxycodone) is prescribed for at least a 4-7 day period - depending on how traumatic the procedure, it may be longer.
