It will probably never become entirely and universally "acceptable" because society will always drum into its children the messages of "normal heterosexuality" from a very early age. It's a form of indoctrination if you will. Just look at almost any TV advert, and it reinforces the red-blooded, sex-crazed male stereotype at almost every possible moment.

I personally have no problem at all. I have a couple of gay friends and they don't bother me in the slightest. We will probably remove most of the bigotry and sheer lies surrounding homosexuality within a few generations - which is a good thing - but like I say, it will probably never be considered "normal".
