2. Isn't this website proposing that Canada join the United States?
By definition a merger is a joining of two things, and in the case of Canada and the US this amalgamation would not be one of two equal partners like so many politicians like to claim. To some this may seem like advocating that Canada join the United States. However, after such a Union the United States would not be the United States as we know it today. The Union would be a new Union, just as it was every time it expanded in the past. New populations bring with them a new cultural dynamic to the country as a whole. They change the geographic landscape as well as the political one. The populous, economy and overall philosophy of this new Union will be unlike what it was before.
