The money going to Katrina was for a noble cause. Something that NEEDED to be done. Yes we have money to spend, but should we spend it on frivolous entities like exploring space? What that money should go to is education. To build up the High school and better equip them with the newest technology so the next graduating students can grow in the workforce. The money should go to getting more books, more computers, more desks, and most of all to better paying teachers. We need to compete in today's world. And 6-10 billion or so can go along way if used wisely.
