@Danieldv77, I am not convinced that using music or other stimuli to compensate for "acting out" is unhealthy. In fact, if it helps you through those difficult, disconnected moments.. then it IS healthy!

I have learned that any method of surviving, any method of pasting together the moments to make a continuum of time ... any method is healthy, as long as you make it to the other end.

The neutral state of no feeling, this is as natural as any other state. It is part of who one is. There is no reason to negate it or try to change it. Just use what methods you can, to help you through it.
