OCD can be caused by environmental factors and things like what you have described could very well have this sort of effect. A therapist or psychologist will be better able to pin-point the cause(s) of your OCD than any of us on here. From what you have said, I do think that this could have been at least a factor in your development of the disorder.

And btw, psychosis has nothing to do with OCD.
