I am not sure about this, but if cutting is anything like smoking (addiction-wise), try, like heartagram72 has suggested to take up another habit.
Like, for smokers there is the nicotine gum that they chew, and then after a while, if they get the urge to smoke, they take a piece of chewing gum.
Try to find something like that. And tell us if you do.
