Your voice 'cracks' in response to your newly growing vocal cords (voice is produced when the air causes them to vibrate, like the strings on a guitar or the reed in a saxophone). So, if it happens infrequently, it still indicates they've begun to change, and it's just a matter of time until it deepens more consistently. Hang in there!
