any type of aerobic exercise (eventhough weight lifting is alot of anaerobics, too) will increase the body's use of oxygen and all those other fluids and hormones that can actually facilitate things like efficient metabolism, which can only make it easier for the body to grow.

I think you might be referring to the often used steroids that weight lifters use, which CAN interfere with bodily processes (and turn your testicles into raisins!).
