I think I'll say also that if you don't get your daily needs of fat, carbs, protein etc, then you're not gonna grow that well. Kolte listed some of the stuff you should avoid...

things won't slow down growth and development, since they're not required (high and added stuff are just added for flavor. They're not needed and saturated/trans fats don't have a daily percentage on the label)
