HVD is currently useless to the average consumer. Unless movies were sold by the hundreds on a single disc, nobody needs 3.9 TB of storage. They are better for government storage. The price of a HVD and the player is also something to consider. I'm sure the government would love some HRAM, it is currently only theoretical, but you could use an LCD instead of a disc and write ram to the LCD in the form of a hologram.
