Huge hair fall

Can eating disorders cause hair fall? I don't the exact reason behind it but I am experiencing a huge hair fall. Lately, I am omitting lunch since I am on the diet. might it be the reason behind the hair fall?

Yes, extreme eating disorders can cause hair thinning and fallout. However, I wouldn't call just omitting lunch to be extreme. However, skipping meals is the worst thing you can do if you are trying to eat better. Just eat healthier. Have a salad and some fruit, instead of a burger and fries. Skipping meals only makes you more hungry and causes you to eat more than normal when it is meal time.

It depends what you mean by 'I'm on a diet' There's diet, and there's eating disorder. It's unlikely a diet would cause hair loss but I'm not completely sure

No I think that eating disorder can cause hair fall. Try to go a good shamppoo or oil to prevent hair fall.

I suggest seeing a dietician or your doctor and get recommendations for a good diet and check out the hair loss problem.
