Ok, well i was listening in on my moms conversation with someone today, and this someones Daughter, which is 7 (grade 2) is going through puberty already, like period, pubic hair, breast growth and everything, and its a problem, apparently if its not stopped now, her final height will be around 5 feet. :S So she has to get Hormone shots to stop puberty, until the doctors want it to pick up again.. Freaked the hell outta me, and i feel really sorry for this girl.. Anyways..

Has anyone ever heard of a story like this about any other girls/boys?

sorry if this is completely random/disrespectful, but this is like that one south park episode where stan/kyle wants to have his period, so he gets hormones, and yeah...

I started puberty early (late 3rd grade-8) but it hasn't affected me adversely...actually with shoes on, i'm 6'1, 185 lbs...I look nothing like a thirteen year old.

My niece is 7 and her doctor is worried that she might be in puberty already.

I've been in puberty about five years now (according to the doctor--she let me look at my chart and the records she had on hand when I went...I already knew anyway from an appt. in March but i was curious :P)

LIsailer...I hope everything goes over well with your sister.

But yea, it happens all the time. In 1939 a Peruvian girl (then 5 years old) had a baby. (http://snopes.com/pregnant/medina.asp) She started having periods at three and apparently she didn't get very tall.

Precautious Puberty is the name for all of this. Here's a link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precautious_puberty).

I saw a thing on History channel about a syndrom called hercules syndome. It happens to like 1 in 50,000,000 people. Its a early development of a growth hormone. It was over this kid that was 6 years old. He had facial hair, he was ripped, but the only get about 4-5 feet tall. So you could be like 6 years old and be fully developed all except your height.
