Is it possible to be both add and ocd? Whenever I'm cleaning the living room I tend to put movies and games in alphabetical order and when I fall asleep it has to be on my right side or my back. Never the left side. But the I also tend to be impulsive. I will go from one song to another on the radio. One website to another on the internet.

Most my friends say that I'm add. Or at least very easily distracted. But it also frustrates me to have spelling errors anywhere. So I was wondering. Is it possible to be both?

I'd have to pull out the DSM from my shelf but from memory, I see no reason why you could not have ADHD and OCD. Bare in mind, this doesn't mean you do have either of them as it's merely a self-diagnosis and having other friends give you their opinions.

Yes, it is possible.

The co morbidity of ADD/ADHD with other disorders is between 60% and 80%.

Research has shown that mood (e.g., depression) or anxiety disorders are present in 1/4 of all children with ADD/ADHD.

It's very common for those with ADD/ADHD to have one or more of the following too;
* Oppositional Defiant Disorder
* Depression
* Anxiety
* Bipolar Disorder
* Conduct Disorder
* Sensory Integration Disorder
* Learning Disorder
* Early Speech/Communication problems
