So, I've had OCD since I was a kid.

Intrusive thoughts and images, compulsive behavior(ie; counting, checking), obsessive thoughts that I just CANNOT budge, but I've gotten quite better with it.

The more you do it, the more fuel to the fire.

;)

Are you on any medication for it?

No, I don't take a pill for anything, they don't solve problems.

That's what I thought until I stopped taking Lexapro for my depression... tough time that was.

Well, that's depression, not OCD.

OCD can be helped by medication. Some people, however, don't experience any benefit from medication.
As long as you see improvement in yourself then it is all good.

Well, I have helped myself and have had much support from friends. It's a good thing you can pick your friends. Shame not your family though.

But yes.
It was once very severe to the point I'd cry because I was so exhausted.
And now, it's certainly gotten very better.

I don't doubt medication would help with my numerous diagnosis's, but right now, I'm extremely ill and I'd rather not go on medication like that when I have an awful health right now.

Medication is not a win-all, end-all cure to problems. It helps some, yes, however, there have been studies, as disheartening as they are, showing that psychotherapy vs psychotherapy plus medications produce no different results, although that doesn't apply to all people and only to certain disorders.
