...Okay, I've been thinking about something...I've seen that in some instances, teenage girls in a household don't get as much "rights" as the teenage boys around the same age in their house.
Examples:
The boy gets to date sooner
His curfew is later
Etc, etc. I know the risk of rape is higher when dating (and high in general for females, especially when their out later) but I don't think that males should get any more priveleges than females.
What do you think?

Its just the way the cookie crumbles. Plus, they are teenagers. They should get little rights. What ever the parent says goes.

thats where i disagree...with whatever the parent says ago...because you can ahve a parent who does not let their child do anything, ex...go outside and play with friends, watch Tv, Internet, etc etc...and those same kids will turn out to be killer/rapist or have some serius social issues....Teenagers should have some sort of freedom and parents should give it to them, I am not saying to give the kids anything they want...then the child becomes spoiled..but there should be some sort of equality.
It isn't fair that girls are treated unfairly compared to boys...I plan to be a father some day waaay into the future and I am probably not gonna let my daughter do as much things as my son, but I would not make it unbearable for her, so she wont have a life.

i am sorry i have to say i agree with girls being treated "differently", they are more vunreable than guys.
and i am very protective of my sister, i am always afraid some sick bastard will try it on, cause i know how guys think, it may seem unfair but its for the best.
i know i sound so fucking sexist here, but i care too much for her, and if i had a daughter, i would be the same for her.
u hear too much on the TV and radio and see it in the papers of girls being attacked raped murdered.

according to my mom girls are structurally weaker than boys are and thus require more assistance and protection

Which is not always true, but works as a general rule.

I'll admit it, my sister is fucking huge.. she's 15 and she can beat the shit out of her bf whos 8 years older.. haha .. :D
But girls generally are more vulnerable... so yea they need more protection.

Well, umm, I don't think it should be based on gender, but he actual person. There are some pretty tough chicks, and some very weak guys.
Take every person as they are and then decide on what they're limits should be based on their strengths, weeknesses, ect.

hello... gender liberal here... and age liberal...
some teenage boys are smarter then some teenage girls... some teenage girls are smarter then some teenage boys...
if a girl gets pregnant its equal punishment for both if the boy is not an ahole... if the boy is an ahole it means hes stupid and shouldnt be allowed to date so young in the first place because in a way it shows him that he can just go out and bang as many girls as he wants to without consiquence... if your going to allow your children to date at an early age then you best know they can handle the responsibility of possible consiquences of sex that can go along with it no matter what "gender" they are.
