The administration has been talking about it for awhile and now it may finally come to reality. We're planning to move VirtualTeen.org to a new hosting company, to a new hosting type (Virtual Private Server), and to a new server.

This should drastically improve the performance of the website, and this will help us help you. We will be able to enable more user-friendly options that are currently too server-intensive.

However...
During the switch to the new host, VirtualTeen.org may not be accessible for days. The DNS propagation, alone, can take anywhere from 36 to 72 hours to complete. We do not have an estimated time of when the site will return. We have to ask all of you to be patient when VirtualTeen.org loses connectivity.

Please note, these plans are firm, but ultimately, they are just plans. But as long as everything goes accordingly, we'll have a new host within the next couple of days.

Also, everyone should thank Anthony, as he will be paying (yes, out of his own wallet) for at least the initial month or so - just so VirtualTeen.org can have a new, better host.

Since the website may be down for a couple days, the VT Awards 2008 will be extended to match the downtime.

If you have any questions or comments, post in the New Host Discussion Thread (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=34716).

Alright, ladies and gentlemen.

That took awhile, but we've upgraded to our new host (Ubiquity Hosting).

Thank you all for being patient!
