...to be absolutely positive that you've failed most of your exams? Or done awfully? Because I'm sure I haven't got the grades I need to get into Sixth Form.

Yes, everyone has a crisis of confidence at some point about exam results. Just try to calm down a bit. When do you get your results?

I'm not sure what Sixth Form is, but it's fine. You can take another path, if possible. Maybe you did better than you thought.

Think for the best. Don't set your expectations too high though. If you know you can't get a 90 on a test, but you want to get above a 60, strive for around a 70. Real goals.

I could help more if I knew what Sixth Form was. If you don't mind explaining that, then I would be more than happy to help.

6th Form is basically where people complete A-levels (16-18 years old). Sorry but don't know the American equivilent!

Erm, results come out tommorow

I know that I generally have strong coursework folders.
A* in media
A in english
B in maths

How much do the exams count for? Because I KNOW for a fact that I sucked on the english papers!

Also I'm afraid I also dont know the US equivelent of sixth form.

In the US, [In middle school] they count for a bit, but not too much because some people freeze up in tests. So instead, they look at tests, overall grades, and teacher recommendations.

Good luck!

College is really the only place where tests will be an incredibly huge part of your scores in some courses. I doubt the exams will affect the outcome a huge amount, especially if you only got a middle-ish grade.

Anyway, it's normal to be worried. I always was when I was in public school, no matter how big or small the test was. Granted, I do freak out about my grades a lot, but still, I think it's perfectly normal.

Good luck with those scores!

sixth form/college = 11th-12th grade. It's a bit like university entrance exams (i believe), but instaid you're finishing highschool [i don't understand this bit of your education system] {i have more than a few friends from the UK}

anyways, honestly, no. lol, i don't blame you though. But if you're getting high marks on everything, you probably didn't suck as bad as you think. I get the same way, and am always shocked when it comes back 95+

And if i'm correct, you can retake the test, right?

Rex my highschool in Tennessee gave the end of course exam which is worth 25% of your grade. Also they had the Gateway tests where if you don't pass the test you don't pass the class. Anyways it's normal to get paranoid about exams.

Anyways it's normal to get paranoid about exams.

Haha I hope so...

Sixth form is like the first step in further education so to speak. I need to get 5 A*-C grades in core subjects and then again in the subjects I want to take to get in, hence the reason I now thinking "oh shit what am I gonna do if I fail!".

Edit; Also I'm not sure if you can resit GCSE's and still do A-Level... As per usual my school has made is extremely obscure and no one knows whats going on.

lovely school there dan

But, if you're making A* to B, i don't think passing with a C should be a problem at all

*looks up definetion of gcse*
Edit: okay, psat/sat testing like, if your school as any logic or reason to it, they should let you re-take (why sit?) the tests without a problem
