What is Reputation?
Reputation or simply 'rep' is a system that shows how reputable the user is based on the judgment of their peers. The symbol for rep is (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/styles/fblue/buttons/reputation.gif). It is located on the bottom left corner of everyone's post. You click on that icon to give someone rep.
To see the complete rep guide click here:
http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_vb3_reputation
Everything about the rep system is included in that guide. If you have an issue with the rep system please contact an administrator.

Can you delete my account?
VT does not delete accounts because it causes confusion in threads posted in by the particular user with posts becoming suddenly missing.
The best way to leave VT is to log out and never log back in. That also leaves the possibility to log back in if you decide to. :)

What's a moderator/global moderator/administrator/counselor?
These are the members of the VT staff.
Moderators can only moderate certain forums. If you have an issue in which a normal moderator is unable to help, try contacting a global moderator or administrator.
Counselors are here to help you. If you need someone to vent to or just hold a healthy conversation then you should go to one of these people.
Global Moderators are members of the Senior Staff. They can moderate all forums on this site. They also have the privilege of initiating bans.
Administrators run all aspects of the site. You should see them for name changes, reputation problems, infraction problems, etc. They can moderate all forums as well as control the reputation, infraction, Shoutbox, and Flashchat systems as well as anything else. They are your go-to guys and gal;).
To e-mail the administration as a whole, use this e-mail: admin@virtualteen.org.
To see a full list of the staff click here:

How do I become a staff member?
Your chances of becoming a staff member if you constantly create posts and threads etc. that request you becoming a staff member are painfully worsened. There are two main processes of becoming a staff member. The first process is when an administrator posts a thread in this forum (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34), then they would choose out of the applicants the next staff member. The second is by private selection from the staff. The staff would discuss members that would work well as moderators and then they are privately contacted requesting their addition to the staff. Please do NOT make posts, threads, edits to your signature, etc. requesting to become a staff. That is once again a surefire way to worsen your chances.

What is an infraction?
So whats an Infraction? Well an Infraction is simply a disciplinary action that adds points to a members account. As the points build up on their account and when they reach certain levels, privileges start get taken away. At the moment when a member reaches 55 points their account gets put on Restricted. This means that their posts must be approved by a moderator before they become available for normal users to see.
Then when a member reaches 75 points their account gets Frozen. This means they are unable to post, create threads, PM etc...
That was beautifully put as far as I am concerned.
Other things that you should know is that all staff members can give infractions. Infractions do expire after a given amount of time. To view your infractions then simply go to the main page of your UserCP. It is near the top of the page and gives information about past and present infractions.
When an infraction is issued you will receive a PM stating the reason of the infraction. Note that you only receive that PM if you have the ability to PM. However, if that infraction bans you you can not view the PM. That's why you are also able to view your infractions on your UserCP.
You can also receive a warning which is basically an infraction with no points. All infractions and warnings are viewable by all staff members.
You can get infractions reversed by administrators if they see fit. If you feel that an infraction was unjust please contact an administrator.

How come I can't use HTML on here/What are the BB Codes?

How do I report a post and what happens when I report it?
To report a post simply click on this icon (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/styles/fblue/buttons/report.gif) located on the post. It will take you to a page where you are to write a reason of why you are reporting the post and then click submit. You can also report blogs with this icon (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/styles/fblue/misc/blog/report.gif) and social group messages with the button titled Report.
When a post is reported a new thread is automatically created in the private forums for staff, giving all staff details of what post is being reported, the reason, etc. An e-mail is also sent to the moderators of that particular forum.

What's an avatar, custom user title, signature, etc. and how do I change them?
There are many ways to show your personality and creativity on VT. All can be edited from your UserCP.
The first is your avatar. Your avatar is an area that is shown on every post of yours. It is located on the left side of your posts below your post count face. To change it simply go to the UserCP on the navigation bar on the far left side, then on the left side under the Settings and Options category simply click Edit Avatar.
Next, is your signature or 'sig'. This is located at the bottom of all of your posts unless you choose not to have it on particular posts. To edit it simply click on the button Edit Signature in your UserCP. You are allowed 8 lines and 550 characters WITH BBC Code.
You are eligible for the privilege of custom titles when you have 2,500 posts or more. The custom title is located under your name in all posts. The current limit is 18 characters. To edit it go to your UserCP the click on Edit your Details located on the left. It is towards the top of the page.
Your profile is what all members go to when they want to learn more about you. Here they can see many different things. If you want to edit your profile simply click on UserCP and then select Edit Your Details. You can also edit your profile picture (different than avatar) by going to your UserCP and clicking on Edit Profile Picture located on the left side.
Remember that all of these must follow content rules.

How come my post count doesn't increase when I post in the VT Arcade or Introductions forum?
The VT Arcade forum is a forum in which the posts are not counted. This is because it is mostly spam in that forum and is all in good fun therefore the post counts should not be counted there. All other forums count posts.
The Introduction forum's posts are also not counted because they are usually welcoming people to VT and because there are so many new members each day, people's posts tend to become very short which is why posts do not count.
