What's the difference?
Also, the goverment states that if you've taken any psychedelic type drug more than 5 times and they know of it they'll classify you as a clinically insane person. My friend Leo has tacken 6 acid stamps and he doesn't seem insane to me. I wanna know what insane really is..to the government that is..

LSD and cid are the same thing
If youve taken it, there are a lot of jobs you cannot apply for, as theres a chance of flashbacks

LSD is the acronym for the chemical composition. "Acid" is the nick name, or street name, taken from one of those words, acid (as LSD is technically an acid).
I've never heard the one about being 'clinically insane'. Insanity is a legal term, it's not a mental health diagnosis, it doesn't mean 'crazy' (as many people wrongly believe). Insanity refers to judgement, and one's (inability) to be responsible for one's actions.
Now, the idea that anyone would take an acid to alter their state of consciuousness for recreation might answer that question, however, I doubt the Government had that in mind.

if you claim youve done acid when applying for a job (I don't know why you would, but hypothetically), you cannot get a job where you handle peoples lives.

lsd could trigger a mental illness that you were already going to have. For example you could be in a very early stage of schizophrenia and take lsd and be messed up from it. I definatly wouldnt recommend that anyone who is not extremely stable minded at the time to take lsd.

People handle acid in different ways each time, depending on set and setting. Yes, acid can result in a bad trip, but more often a good one. Acid flashbacks are extremely rare, and not that dangerous. you are not insane if you have tripped on acid. I know plenty of former hippies that are doing fine, both as a citizen and in their minds.
above the ignorance people, don't believe what the government tells you about this shit.

In Aus you're considered insane if you've taken acid 7 or more times, I'm guessing it counts as an 'episode' of a psychiatric illness?
And yeah, LSD, acid, tabs and stamps are all the same thing.
And Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds ISN'T based on LSD, its the title of a picture one of the band's daughters drew.

Under no circumstances would the government consider a person clinically insane for taking psychedelic drugs. Besides, how would they know you've taken them? (That whole rag about acid staying in your spinal column is baloney) I've taken psychedelics many more times than I could count on both hands, and I'm nowhere near insane.
Oh, and "acid" is slang for LSD.

well you no what, i think i read about this before on www.snopes.com (an urban legend site) and it said that this was false.
so was the FALSE myth that somone who was bringing LSD into canada had hid it under his shirt and then got so worried that he'd get checked that he started sweating and the acid got dissolved into his skin that he thought he was an orange and decided to peel himself and took off all his clothes.
