Ok, well I've been getting made fun of for a while because of my voice isn't deep yet, and when the people make fun of me, they always say, "Haven't your balls dropped yet?" I was like, wtf? So does that mean when your testicles drop, does that involve change in your voice? Or is it just a saying that I'm not far in puberty yet.. o_O

your balls don't literally drop and do not drop before puberty. Your balls drop before you are born. So they're idiots, especially since their making fun of you :P

It has nothing to do with your voice and your voice will lower in time. It'll happen, no problem :D

well firstly, your balls don't drop. the ones making fun of you are obviously uninformed people. your balls drop very early in your life and just enlarge during puberty to the adult size. as for your voice being connected to that, i don't think it does. most likely you just aren't developed enough yet. your voice will change in time, just be patient and don't let these people making fun of you, bother you too much.

Thanks for replying to me. And I know your balls don't literally "drop", I was just wondering why people say that, if it's not true, yet it doesn't make sense.

Thanks for the info. :)

they say that because i guese its the illusion that they drop and besides that they are misinformed people who don't know what they are talking about.

also they probably say that the balls drop because they notice that their balls sag more when puberty starts. But I'm not so sure that's true; they do that in all warmer temperatures. Puberty is probably the time that they are paying more attention to their balls so maybe that's why they think that.

another more technical theory is that your ball sac does sag more when puberty starts (but the balls don't neccessarily drop) because they are starting to produce sperm and now the temperature needs to be regulated more so they droop more frequently in order for them to cool off.

I think they say 'balls dropped' because that seems to be the way it has been called. My friends sometimes, not always but especially when we were younger , used to say that but they were still well informed about puberty. I guess it's just puberty slang.
