At least a water-color based drawing of a lion, the type lion you really won't meet too close.

Caution. Leo bites.

What I am wondering is if you drew all those pictures from zero, or if they are photomanipulations (photoshop filters etc) of existing photos and illustrations.

What I am wondering is if you drew all those pictures from zero, or if they are photomanipulations (photoshop filters etc) of existing photos and illustrations.

That varies from pic to pic. Normally, every picture is first hand drawn by me and then often digitally processed. The reason is that I draw a lot pics, but do it very rarely using my digil-pad nor I finish'em the traditional way. I use those last pics for digital experiments, re-drawings or such. And i like to experiment a lot with photoshop and its plug ins.

As for the pics above:

The first two pictures are pure manipulations by using a fractal plugin at last. But they are based on 9 or 10 various other images.

The second image is based on Spiderman I've drawn once without background. The background of the posted pic I cobbled together from various old landscaping photographs made by my dad. After that, I "infernoished" the whole Spidey pic.

And the lion is just drawn with watercolor pencils and finished with a brush. However, the pre-pencil sketch partly showed up again. But I like it that way.

and to all the others, thanks for the posts above.
