View Full Version : Motorcycle Laws

Hi. I'm wondering about the motorcycle laws in America. My mate is convinced its 21 but I'm near sure it's younger than that. I think there's no progressive or anything, like if I'm not mistaken you can hop straight onto a Hayabusa. I could be taking absolute bollocks anyway
Thanks, Michael

I'm not sure about the other states, but you can get a license to drive a motorcycle at 14 or 15 here in Alabama.

It depends on the state, though. I'd recommend to do some research on what state in particular you'd like to get a license to drive one in.

14 or 15? Jesus. Is it any size of bike?

I'm sure that you can only have a 250cc on your permit, but once you have a full license, any size.

Looked it up. In Colorado, there is no size restrictions. Ever. The licensing behaves the came as a normal license. Neat!

I just looked it up.

At 14 years old in Alabama, you can get a restricted license to drive a motor-driven cycle like a moped.

At 16, you can get a license to drive a proper motorcycle.

Thanks for the replies. Man, its 17 here for a bike that only does 70mph on a good day. Then 21 for any bike
