I went to a pool party a few weeks ago.
Drank a few rounds of vodka before I went there, also drank a large bottle of beer. After this I drank a small bottle of vodka with a friend, then I entered the pool party.
Why did we do this and not in the party? Because the alcohol is too expensive there, but this is not why you shouldn't buy the alcohol, no.

This is what happened - We bought a large bottle of another vodka from the bar, we drank it. Then i blacked out. Next thing I remember I was in the hospital, with my left arm tied to the hospital bed.
My first thought: "What the hell happened?"
I tried to remember what happened to me but it was all in shattered pieces.
I remember having a fight with some bullies, being taken to a taxi, being kicked out of the taxi and I got no idea how I got into that hospital.

The doctors came to me, told me they found 2.2 promiles of alcohol in my body, plus a small dose of meth in my body. The thing is, I don't do drugs.
The vodka from the party must've had a substance of meth in it.
Good thing I got wasted before I entered the party, or else i'd be drinking more of that vodka and who knows what else would've happened to me.
I swear, I felt perfectly fine before blacking out. It felt like I was being more high than drunk, although of the amount of alcohol I drank. I didn't even remember where I lost consciousness until my friends told me, after I got out of the hospital.

When I was little, teachers used to scare us about people adding drugs in our drinks in parties. Well, was surprised this happened to me.
Still confused about some of the events that happened that night.

That's awful! But yes, there really are people like that around, sadly.

Im sorry but i dont quite get it. Did someone get to the vodka before you or was it bought for you? Or was it snidy vodka that had a false label on it or what?

First of all, seriously you were already at least a medium barrel of Ethanol before entering the party, still you bought another once you were in?

I am so sorry that this has happened to you anyway, but seriously next time be more careful.Sometimes in big parties the hosts or bartenders do this to add more fuel to the "Fire of Joy" already alive in the party,in order to make the party even better heated,as some people usually say.

Won't be going to bars anytime soon. The bartender can put anything in your drink whilst you're talking to people. Even when you do get your drink, anyone can try to drug it, since I bet most of you don't like holding a glass all the time, making it easy for people to add anything it it.
Most of you just put the glass on the table. It's just that easy if you're a target.

The thing is this - a friend bought a bottle of vodka from the bar. They gave it to us, it was opened. Then they granted a table for us.

Seriously, you were already a huge barrel of Ethanol before entering the party, still you bought another once you were in?

If we wanted to have a table, we had to buy a vodka. The table came with a vodka. There was nowhere to sit.

Didn't expect this, to be honest. Thought their bar was like any other bar. I used to go to a lot of bars, now not so much after this.
Well, I know better now from this. Family wasn't happy, myself neither but I know to be more cautious now.
Everything's okay if I learned my lesson.

Have you asked around to see if that has happened to someone else, too?

Shit man, that's pretty scary. You always hear of the stories of people spiking your drink when you leave it alone but never that a company actually drugs the drink themselves. Sorry this happened to you and I hope you're all good now.

Well,I do not know about you my friend but I think I am going to take this warning about not accepting foods and drinks from everyone everywhere which mothers usually give to their little children a little more serious, although I am about 19 years old right now.(Kidding) :)

Ah i see. Thats really shit i can only guess the place you went in wasnt the best and im really sorry that happened for you.

Yeah, whenever you go anywere you dont know the general rule is to ask for it to be opened on the table, but obviously how could you think that you expect them not to have meth in the drinks. At least you'll know in the future.

Hope you the best for future outings (and great effort with the vodka drinking that much pre-going out)

My brother(who was in the party too) talked with some people who've went to this place. He wanted to throw a birthday party there. I did not get a direct answer from him, but he talked with his friends, he gave up on spending his birthday there.

Yep, i'm alright, don't worry. :)
Felt bad for a few days, emotionally and physically but i'm normal now.
Just spreading the message so people are cautious about what's in their drinks. Yeah, this may a rare occurrence, but it depends overall on where you're going. Usually I stay at bars with hardly any customers, only around friends there.

You might want to press charges, anyways.

It's okay. Thanks.
It was good for some people, just not for me.

We were drunk before we got to the party, dude. Our logic was dead.

but obviously how could you think that you expect them not to have meth in the drinks. At least you'll know in the future.

I ain't a guy who goes to parties. It's awkward for me there. No one to talk to - It depresses me. I hang out at bars at times with friends, but nothing more than that. Also, spiked drinks ain't cool, man.

Lol, I ain't going to taste anymore alcohol besides beer. Thanks though!

I don't want to bother. I should but I just don't want to talk to cops. Afraid of that. I honestly don't think they would change anything.

are you sure you just did not have too much to drink in the first place? I mean, always be careful yes, but you were drinking a dangerous amount

Damn, this sucks. I'm glad to hear you're okay after it, though. Just shows how careful one has to be in situations involving copious amounts of drugs, whether illegal or legal.

Someone once put Viagra in my drink....that was an...interesting....experience...

Usually stuff you buy from a bar is good, surprised it was spiked.

The blacking out and stuff... yeah that can happen from overdrinking but meth? Yeah you were spiked, with a crap drug no less. Be vary about oressing the charges, if your friend bought the bottle, he might get screwed for posession.

I've been drugged too many times to count, but with meth? That's a new one, what a shitty drug to spike a drink with. The main thing is though, you're alive, you've learnt to be a little wary and that's okay. However, I'm sorry it happened to you. (Vodka is paint thinner most of the time though lol)

Go see a doctor cuz meth scrambles your brain.

Regards to this I've known for quite a while that there are crooked bartenders out there.

About a year ago I read something either Newsweek magazine or Time magazine or somewhere online about a criminal enterprise when certain people were in cahoots with crooked bartenders who would spike the drink and then give it to a girl upon her ordering or a guy ordering for her.

The girl drinks her drink, is drugged, and her potential rapist kidnapper is already socializing with her and when she passes out "date rape" or just outright kidnapping and rape occurs.

But the bartender was in on it spiking the drink.

And these types of guys get away with it because a lot of the time rapes aren't reported so this crime keeps being perpetuated again and again.

Doesn't matter how much you watch your drink, it was spiked from the establishment's source.

After I read this I swear I will never drink ever even if the law allows me too once I'm 21 I won't do it.

Always pay attention to your drinks and never leave them unattended. I've known a mate who had his drink mixed with a sleeping drug. That wasn't a fun experience, I can imagine.

This is one reason why I will never trust parties when I'm older.

Glad you made it ok... Is there anything you can do to reprimand them, officially or not? It's really not a cool thing to make you bedridden.

Wow.. This is terrifying. Consuming that much alcohol is very very scary. I know once I had consumed a 2/6 of vodka myself, along with other things to drink and it wasn't a pretty sight. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
