Irish Prime Minister Announces Resignation

Bit late but, Irish Taoiseach (PM) Bertie Ahern announced he is stepping down in a months time after 11 years in office. Sad times altogether.

Wow. Just shocking. 11 years is a long time to be in office.

Great leader, and he has the mandate to be in office till 2012 making it 15 years in office. But decided to step down now.
