New Year's Eve fireworks pics from Parramatta on the river side. With a streetlight obstructing the light and a fire truck in the way, they aren't as good as they could have been.

Thanks for your comments. :) I'm glad you think they are professional looking, but they are just taken from my Iphone5. Happy new year! :)

These are super cool. :D

I still don't know how you make them look so good. Anything I take with my iPhone looks like blurry poo in the sky.

I have a couple of tricks for the night shots. The first is the obvious one, and that is turning off the auto flash. The other thing I find is that at night you have to hold very still for it to focus, and even then it may only focus for a second or two. So when I want to take a pic of something at night, I usually take about 10 pics quick together and find that usually a couple of the 10 have focussed, but the others haven't. But on the odd occasion a blurry one has good effect, like the first pic here.
