9 As well, can't be an italian and not be able to cook :P Jk, but my dad has been teaching me since... well a long time, on cooking

I had to be taught how to boil water recently. I'm not very good.

Taking foods class helped but I'm certainly not restaurant material.
I'm better at making baked goods (cakes, brownies, cookies, etc) compared to actual food like pasta or steak, for example

I think I am 7/10. I cook some things amazingly (esp on the grill), but I am not a super talented chef. I keep getting better though

I don't really agree with the "Amazing" part, but I would give myself an 8/10. I cook for myself all the time, since I am usually the only one home when I eat. I think I am perfectly capable of surviving on my own when it comes to preparing and cooking meals.

I'd say about 70 percent. I do have some flaws with my cooking skills.

November 11th, 2014, 10:20 PM
I chose 6/10. My cooking is pretty good and I can follow just about any recipe without messing up much, and I could easily live on my own and make myself 3 good meals a day, but it's nothing special.

November 11th, 2014, 11:33 PM
I'm alright. I think I have a good taste in ingredients but it doesn't always turn out the way I want it to, and that's usually out of laziness.

Im okay at it, I can't really scale myself, If I had to fix food for a crowd of people, I could but Idk how it'd turn out if that makes any sense

I picked 7/10. I think I can cook very well. It might not be perfect, but it's still good. I am still learning how to cook new stuff though.

7/10. I'm pretty coo if I do say so myself :P

Becoming better and better. :D

I voted 8/10 because my family loves when I cook.
My granny taught me a lot

maybe a 6.5 for me - usually fine with pastas or simple dishes, but not as interested as I used to be

January 10th, 2015, 08:48 PM
I just Google things that I have ingredients for and then I (hopefully) make tasty food.

That's what I do at times. And I also go to mom for recipes

4/10, I'm really bad but I'm learning still :P

January 23rd, 2015, 11:53 PM
..... just kidding.

I don't want to rate myself, but I guess it'd be fairly high. I'm not a culinary major because I dislike cooking. :P

I love mixing and matching and making really pretty plate presentations, and coming up with new and interesting combinations. I love cooking, even baking is alright, but cooking is better because you don't have to measure. I can be like a little of this, some of that and it'll work out. Baking needs specific measurements though.

I wouldn't give myself a 10 because I know I'm not perfect, but compared to the average person, I'd say given that it's my specialty, I'm better. But not executive chef level.

4/10 ...... at least i like to think im that good lol

Well, I forgot to put butter in my pan to fry my eggs today and they stuck like crazy but they were still edible so... I tried.

I put 6/10. I can cook (actually really well, like more of an 8/10) but I highly dislike cooking therefore I don't do much of it. I lived on my own for a significant period of time and I spent a lot of timing cooking for myself because it meant leftovers for a few days after and I was getting really sick of ramen noodles.

So before I wanted to be an educator I tried several different occupations. I started off at a nursing home taking care of people in their final years, but being 16, I wanted more color in my life. I then applied at a small restaurant and learned how to cook simple foods. I loved it and when I came home at nights, I cooked all the family meals. I have only burnt a few dishes but thats not bad. Now that I am in college I cook Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on weekends in the dorm kitchen and I have never had an empty kitchen. We also have a full cafeteria but since I started cooking, people have abandoned it. People say that I need to cook on the weekdays also but I have classwork to do. I know I am a good cook, but I can always improve. 7 for me.
