Please share an encounter with an insect you've never seen before, you don't have to know the name of it, but you can describe how it looked like and how it behaved (you can help another poster find out what the name of the insect it is).

I saw this insect in my bathroom, it was very small and black (it looked like it jumps) and it resembles a frog with 2 long back legs (nasty) and it had antennas .

Added: I think I found out what it was... the ensign wasp.

There are these little insects around that when I open the windows in the summer and fall they fly right in. They're brown like the color of dead leaves, have six legs and a hard brown shell with a sort of beige under belly.

I always see spiders and water bugs. Not too much variety. But the most scariest and strangest spider I ever seen looked similar to this one. So if anyone could help me out and know if they know any similar bugs that look like this one because the bug I saw was more blacker than this one.

Saw a smiley-face spider for the first time over the summer. I HATE spiders, but I thought this one was cool for some reason.

When I went to Reunion, I saw citrus swallowtail butterflies. They're huge!

Unfortunately, I also saw orb weaving spiders four inches across.

(I know spiders aren't insects.)

I've tried to find a picture but I can't, but I had an encounter with a very large spider.
