I usually draw with pencil only, the hardness varying from 6H to 6B. Occasionally I will use soft, medium, or hard charcoal pencils. What do you guys use? Here's a picture I drew recently with pencil

I use Paint Tool SAI.
If I ever draw traditionally, I use whatever I can find, usually a mechanical pencil.

Nice pic ^^

You said it takes you ages, pencil usually does.
My art teacher talks of "freeing up your arm". Something like charcoal sticks, or ink n brush is nice for that. Cause you cant spend ages in one area, you gotta make decisions n works fast.

Hope this helps some!

2b-4b are my starter pencils always. They are just dark enough but not excessively so. Shading I use a kneading eraser to pull out and 5b or 6 to put in, typically. Use charcoals occasionally but don't like the mess they make. No matter how careful, I smudge places and it's really hard to pull out charcoal.

i usually just use pencils since most of the things i draw are sketches. I'll ink things occasionally and use watercolours to colour them in.

For traditional art, I use 4B pencils, black pen (for tracing), and faber castel colour pencils.
For digital, I use Paint tool SAI or photoshop, and a tablet ^u^

I occasionally draw in biro or fineliner but I like to have the ability to rub out mistakes. I've used charcoals a couple times but only on a large scale because otherwise it looks awful if it smudges.

I use a bunch of pencils ranging from B to Ebony. I can't live without my electric eraser, best thing to use when putting highlights in hair. Blending stumps and kneaded erasers are a must as well

I almost always draw with pencil, colored or normal ones. But I'd really want to try drawing with china ink. Idk it just intrigues me in some way.

I usually draw with a stander mechanical pencil. Then I over trace with a normal ballpoint black ink pen.

I do digital art as well, and I have a Intuos 5 (small) graphics tablet. I'm not too great yet, but it beats using a mouse.
