View Full Version : Severe Anxiety (for a long time now?)

I have had thoughts that send chills down my spine and I frequently have constant anxiety attacks every day. Even though the thoughts *most* likely won't happen, it just really gets to me when my mind thinks about it.

Any advice?

Aside from going to a therapist to help you deal with it, or going on medication (though antianxiety meds haven't worked for me), the best thing you can do is try to distract yourself every time you get anxiety. Don't think about the future, worry about the present by grabbing yourself a snack, watching a tv show you like, talking to a friend or family member about something (not necessarily the anxiety), etc.

Deep breathing, writing your thoughts down, talking to a person close to you who's rational. It helps me.
