This happens to me as well- though interestingly if I'm extremely sleep deprived, I actually need a constant flow of caffeine going through me to keep me awake. But if I'm well rested/have slept more than two hours in a 30 hour period, it just conks me the heck out.

Once again something about ADHD that I atleast partly relate to... It's really making me think. I know hardly anything but I'm sure autism isn't all I have and from how I feel I've suspected bipolar, GAD, ADHD and a form of depression...

I don't have coffee very often but I'm sure it has this same effect on me too anyway

Reason why I hardly ever have cofee or tea.
Whenever I take some tea instead of energizing me it makes me more tired.

I have ADHD and caffeine doesn't really have any effect on me. but since I also have neurological anxiety disorder that gives me fast heartbeat problems (cardiologist says its harmless) so when my heart starts getting jiggly, I cut out the caffeine just in case it's aggravating it. I have very goofy neurology.

I have ADHD and don't drink coffee that often, so I can't really help you on this one. Sorry

ADD is affected/treated by stimulants. (Ritalan, Adderal, etc). Caffeine is a stimulant, so it may have some affect in some people. When I was 9 or 10, my doctor (not in the USA) told my mom to let me have coffee before school. Real coffee, like americans call espresso. It worked.

Luckily, my ADD is subsiding and has been since puberty started. Don't know if it was coffee, or if it was just puberty. Probably puberty, as a lot of guys just "grow out of it".

I actually can't really tell much of a difference whether or not I have caffeine but my mom says she notices my symptoms lessen with it. A lot of other people with ADHD have told me it makes them tired, though.
