Hey all! My section in band talks about weird stuff. One day, we were talking about dicks and someone said that the more you jack off, the less sensitive your dick gets. Is this true or not? I'm really paranoid now because I jack off quite a bit. Thanks in advance!

My penis has been very sensitive before I started jacking off and it's still super sensitive after jacking off for over 4 years. That's not true at all.

Nope. If anything rubbing cause more sensory receptors to grow and develop in the area.

I don't think there is anything to that at all. Your dick is very resilient organ. The more you use it the more pleasure it gives you, at least in my experience..

That's a load of crap. It would be the same as saying that if you have sex your dick would be less sensitive. You are what you are. We are all different in certain ways and the same in others.

No, you dont desensitize your dick by frequent masturbation, you just become accustomed to what you are doing and it seems like that is happening, but it really isnt.

Unless you masturbate enough to get callouses on your penis, there is no loss of sensitivity.

Science nerdiness: More stimulation does not generate more nerve endings. You are born with the same number that you will have decades later. Nerves do not regenerate. I think they are the only cells in the body that do not replace themselves if injured. The only exception is some stem cell research for Multiple Sclerosis & ALS, & those are in the experimental phase

Masturbating vigorously (very roughly) too often (2/3 times a day) can lead to loss of sensation in the penis and can lead to difficulty in achieving orgasm. That being said, masturbating normally is perfectly fine and safe. Masturbating with porn can sometimes lead to difficulty in achieving orgasm and erectile dysfunction in non-porn driven scenarios.

I think at the physical level, nothing changes.

Your bain, on the other hand, makes you more conciously aware of sensations that are either new or more intense than what you usually feel. So when you first masturbate the sensations are new and you are very aware of them. As it becomes a regular thing your awareness of the sensations isn't quite so high. If you choose to pay attention to the sensations coming from your penis, rather than being distracted by, for example, porn, you'll find them still tobe strong.

Mostly untrue, when I first started jerking my head was sensitive, but because my glans wasn't used to touch. The last 3 years or go has had the same sensitivity.

It's not just masturbating that causes your dick to get less sensitive, it's the exposure of the glans, you can masturbate with your glans covered and you wont lose any sensitivity.
Since you don't have anything sensitive to expose.

Dude, I've been jacking off quite a lot for over 5 years now and my dick is still as sensitive as the first time I touched it. Don't worry, just enjoy.
