Please don't post in threads with more than two months inactivity

I see this often, why not just lock all threads after two months of inactivity, if you don't want anyone to post to a "old" thread?

The original poster can post in their own thread no matter how old it is. It was also create extra work for the mods having to go through every thread locking it at two months - there's no way to do this automatically as far as I am aware.

The above is correct. Rather than us have to unlock threads after a user PMs us asking us to, we give them that opportunity from the start. It's far easier for us to just go through and lock the ones that are bumped, it's not a huge deal.

I look at the date of the last post. If it's within the limits of the rules, and you wana post, cool, if older than 2 months then don't post in it
