View Full Version : Why are so many people banned?

It seems like every thread I read I find a banned user, always a different one. There seems to be so many of them. So I decided to see what they did to get banned, but for all except one (the guy who went off on the crazy rant and then spammed a ton of threads with rants, don't remember his name), their post history didn't really show anything too bad. Here's a good example thread of what I mean, there are a lot of banned users here http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2024614&page=4

I was just curious as to why so many users are being banned. Would any mod care to explain it to me so that I can avoid whatever mistakes they made to warrant the ban?

There is always a good reason why someone is banned and that can be for a lot of different reasons. We never reveal individual's ban reasons for privacy reasons and it's not really fair on the person who has been banned. Also, we tend to delete things where people have done something wrong so it may not seem to you (referring to everyone here, not just you OP) that they have done anything wrong.

This came up relatively recently as well, so have a look in this thread (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2037055) for more information.

Okay, thank you for the explanation. Was just curious, that's all.
