Well I have pimples and don't look well, so I am too shy to make friends in school. But I feel lonely.

Any real friend will not care how you look. Those are the people that you've gotta look out for. And don't put yourself down like that! We all get pimples at some stage. :)

real friends dont look your face but your soul , all you gotta do is be patient and wait for the right people to come in your life. But you shouldnt stop searchhing for new opportunities !

Well I...don't look well, so I am too shy to make friends in school.
#1 - Right now, you have CONVINCED YOURSELF that nobody wants to be friends with you, or that you are simply not able to make friends. So the first thing you have to do is figure out a way NOT TO FEEL THIS WAY. If you feel, "Why try? Nobody will like me anyway", you need to fix that in your brain.

#2 - Every time you are interacting with anyone, put all your effort and emphasis on being INTERESTED, not trying to be INTERESTING.
- "What did you do to do so well on that test?"
- "I love that shirt, where did you find it?"
- "You did amazing in the game last week! How did you decide to make that special play?"

I'm not going to tell you it's not you, and friends will come. It IS you. You need to take inventory and make some changes in yourself, but it's changes in your brain, not physical.

#3 - Do the above, and it will work. Honest.

I can understand where you're coming from. Don't let your lack of confidence pull you down. I know it's easier said than done, but that's the best thing to do.

Focus on your personality and let that shine. People will want to be friends with you if you're fun to be with, or seem like an interesting person.

Meanwhile, try to improve on whatever it is that makes you think less about your appearance. Almost every body gets acne during puberty, but its something that can be controlled to a large extent.

Anybody who wants to be friends with you just cuz of your appearance is not worth it anyway.

Most friends don't care about looks so just be really friendly and try and get out there in terms of socialising as opposed to letting people come to you.

I'm sure u r not bad looking as u say u r. If u keep
saying that and thinking that way u surly will not make
any friends let alone have any confidence in urself. If u
have acne there r a lot of things that u can use to clear
it up. To make friends u have to b a friend. Find someone
who seems to b in the same situation u claim to b in and
get to know them. Really its not whats on the outside that
counts in a friendship-its whats inside.

If you aren't suffering from acne or worse, this will not change.

If you can't accept yourself as you are, somehow it also will affect your body language. And thus this circumstance can make you subliminally uninteresting and/or unattractive for others.

I think, first of all you've to be in the clear with your inner self, before making new friends.

btw: welcome to puberty

this is perfect advice. most of the world is comprised of regular people, not the ones we see in movies or magazines. your face will clear up, and lots of other boys have pimples so you're not alone. find boys and girls with common interests, it will make it easier for you when you have something in common with them. be brave and don't give up! you will find friends

I can assure you that any real friend will careless about your looks. Looks simply mean nothing. I bet you look fine man, no one is perfect.

If it makes you feel any better I'm 20 and I still get acne pretty badly. Acne should not be something that your tears your confidence level down, its something you can treat!

It's your personality that people will like, not your appearance. It's more important to spend time getting better at showing your personality and being outgoing than focusing on looking pretty. The only way to meet people is to come out of your shell, which can be a difficult experience, but is totally worth it. What others have said is also true, real friends don't care about what you look like.

I think it's all self confidence. There is this one kid at school that has a lot of pimples. He's one of my friends that hangs with me and my other buds. He gets a long with the girls and some girls are always talking to him.

It is a phase people go through. I experience that when I was 12-13 and I feel pretty low. I just went through with it and be who I am.

Be yourself. Sooner or later there will be people who like you for who you are and what you look like.
"Ugly" is an opinion. What is ugly to one is beautiful to the other.

Ah, man, I'm sorry, but you've convinced yourself you're ugly. I had really bad acne, but it cleared up, and yours will, too. In the meantime, I bet other people care about it far less than you think they do. Chin up! And best wishes!

I think the shyness and insecurity make it hard to make friends, not your looks. Work on learning to value yourself and chin up!

It can be difficult, but try to get comfortable with how you look. It's something you can't change easily.
