I'm very underweight for my height (5'8 and 106 Lbs). How do I gain weight? I can't seem to gain any from just eating and my metabolism probably won't slow down ( I take after my grandpa in that regard).

Have you tried to eat smaller portions but more?
How about a high protein diet?
Normally you can get weight gaining shakes or browse around the web for some good recipes.

I understand that you'd want to gain weight, but it can go wrong if not done right. So I'd suggest you go to a doctor or some sort of specialist to get help.

You can get high protein supplements that you can take with your diet at a health food store. Use this and a high protein balanced diet. Also get plenty of exercise to help you bulk up too.

this for sure. there is def a proper way to gain weight. it is not just eating whatever. they will be able to come up with a diet specifically geared towards your needs

Sometimes it is really hard to gain weight even tho you've been eating a lot.

if you want to gain weight dont start eating junk food because you will get unneeded fat. Try having protein 2-3 times a day with alot starchy products like potatoes and vegetables cooked or salad

well if your not getting enough nutrients/fuel for your body that could have an effect on you growing properly. I am not saying it is going to make you grow an extra foot, but you never know, that might possibly be playing a factor, though I am not a doctor so what do I know haha

Yeah...I was more saying that to myself than to anyone in particular lol.

when you post it online for everyone to see, your no longer talking to yourself

Dude, I know the feeling, I've tried literally everything to gain weight I just can't. I'm over 6'2" and only 135 lb, and while I'm not exactly muscular I'm not a complete weakling either. It's hard to gain weight for people like us, I've tried protein shakes, 500-1000 extra calories a day, etc. Nothing works.
