I want to ask if do you own a room or share a room with someone in your family. I am a growing boy so privacy is a big part.

Here's a funny little anecdote: before moving into this house, my twin sister and I shared a bedroom. One day, when we were about 6, we were having an argument on the top of the bunk bed. It ended with one of us being pushed out of the bunk, falling, and breaking an arm. It was at that moment that our parents realized we needed our own rooms because we couldn't get along anymore in the same one, so we moved to our current house and now have separate rooms. I guess something good came out of that story.

My brother (he is a year younger) and I shared a room, and sometimes bed, at home until I left for college. I now share a room/bed with my partner. So I have never had a room to myself and I am fine with that.

'One of us' hm.

I used to share with my sister before moving out. She now has 2 bedrooms to herself, she must feel like she won the lottery :metal::cool::rolleyes: . Alone time was obviously an issue, but so was getting to sleep. It's really difficult to sync it up so nobody gets woken up -..-'

Right now I have my own room but I've had to share a room many times in the past. In the end it was usually not much of a problem; it's something you can used to after some time and it becomes no big deal. It's not as bad as you may think either and it's possible to even like sharing a room, or at least not mind it.

Right now, I have my own room. I'm an only child so 80 percent of my life I've always had my own room. Me and my mom moved around a lot when she was an addict so sometimes we'd have to share a bedroom when we had roommates or when we stayed in cheap motel rooms.

I've always had my own room when home. I wouldn't mind sharing though. I've shared my room with friends or brother Ethan a couple times for a nightbhere or there. It's nice. But I can see how some kids that won't work for to

I've shared a room with various foster brothers over the past five years, having my own room has never really been an option except for where I currently live. Here I have one foster brother (the foster parent's own son) with whom I share. There is a smaller room adjacent to the bedroom that's currently setup with a little couch and TV for video games and stuff. My foster brother and I hang out in there to watch TV or I read or use the computer. A few months ago my foster parents said that if I wanted, they could set up that room for me if I wanted to have a room of my own. I thought about it, but once you put a bed in there the rest of the space would be pretty small and to be honest, I'm so used to sharing a room it would feel almost weird to be on my own. My younger foster brother has also gotten pretty used to sharing with me and he seemed kind of relieved when I said that I would be just as happy leaving it the way it was.

Jake, twins usually are rather close but do you and your sister want to get into separate bedrooms when you get older or do you both like to keep it as it is now.

I asked my sister and we agree that were happy the way things are now.
Even if we weren't, there is no other free room in the house as we live in the nicely renovated attic. We basically have the entire floor to ourselves, including small bathroom.
And you are right of course, we are very close.
