I use public and private in this as: public meaning to the world without an account; and private as this VT community with accounts.

Why are the user blogs completely public? I searched my user name looking for a different site and my blog at VT was the first result, I dint man to be rude, I love VT, but I don't want my posts and shit here in this community to be publicly connected to my name omg Google.

All I'm saying is, the user profiles aren't public, but the blogs are. What do you think about a private user system, so user names are only visible to other users who have accounts?

At least make blogs private. Please!

.i changed my username, but left my Sig pic :)

You can already set your blogs to private. If you go to the Blog Control Panel, (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/blog_usercp.php) you can untick the box that allows guests to view your blog.

What do you mean by private user names?
You can set all of your profile if you choose to so only members or friends can view it if that what you mean

Your profile is private from non-members anyway. All members are able to see all profiles and there's not an option that could change that. I don't think that having private usernames is possible, the only thing that I could suggest is to have a username that doesn't identify you in any way.

A private user system is not possible to do. As stated above, your best bet is to just make your username as unidentifyable as possible, and leave out any information about yourself- your location, your name, etc. You don't have to give any of that info out if you so choose.
No one can see your profile without joining though, so in that sense, you're safe.
