View Full Version : The Truth About Cutting. [TRIGGER WARNING]

October 17th, 2016, 04:44 AM
You're in year 8, you have had a shitty time at school, your mother is acting like an angsty teen, and your sister doesn't 'get' you.
You bleed for the first time.

A few months later you tell yourself, I wont be like them, I am not them, I can stop when I want.
You bleed for the 'last' time

A year later, your mums under the influence, your sister sits in her room, and your bored.
You bleed for another time.

Another year later, your walking home from school, your mind hasn't indulged in the thought for what feels like years, suddenly, while walking through the trees, you cave.
You bleed for the 'oh no this doesn't count' time.

Two years later, in another town, another life, having vowed to never do that again, exams creeping in the back of your mind, your on the floor a blade to the skin. No crime of passion, but coldhearted.
You bleed for the undefined time.

This is the truth, for me, every time you tell yourself will be the last, years from my first cut, and from when I told myself I would never do it again, it happened. I wasn't angry, nor did I feel stressed at the time. One moment I was listening to Aussie classics, next I was on the floor hurting myself.

If anyone here is reading this, and you haven't harmed yourself before, take this as evidence that you should not ever do that to yourself. I found it highly addictive, and its such an easy pit to fall into.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Please take care of yourselves.
