Alright I am not sure where to put this. There isn't really a 'reading' section on this forum, so I'm going to put this here.

Over the summer, I started to get interested in East Asian thought and arts. This was especially so after I started to explore some Zen texts and poetry. I read an annotated translation of The Analects by Confucius and his disciples. It was an interesting read, even though I disagree with many of his ideas, I now understand the Confucian view and I can see its merits. Yet this one book isn't even the beginning. There are many classics and there are whole other works for other groups of thought. And beyond this, there is the great literary canon of Chinese works. I have heard Romance of the Three Kingdoms is interesting.

With all of the choices, it is a bit daunting. Anyone have any recommendations?
